Downtown Lexington is in full swing today, getting ready for another busy weekend! The weather is holding steady with its mild temperature, but I do understand some light rain will be moving in for the next couple days, but hopefully gone by the weekend!!
I sure hope the rain clears out as this is a big weekend at Virginia Military Institute… it’s Ring Figure!! I don’t know a lot about this ceremony other than there is a formal dinner and then the presentation of the class rings the following night. Growing up in the Lexington I remember this weekend because the gals always wore long, formal white gowns with long white gloves. It was always nice to see as the cadets and their dates as they would walk in town getting to their events that night.
There are plenty of other great options of things to do here in the area. Devil’s Backbone will have live music at their Live Friday’s event. The rodeo is also coming to the VA Horse Center this weekend with the Bulls, Barrels and Broncs Show. And don’t forget to sign up for the Gobble Wobble which happens Thanksgiving morning, this is a 5k run to get your day started!!
