Another beautiful day here in downtown Lexington,VA! A slight breeze is making the weather feel very nice and comfortable and we sure hope it continues through this Memorial Day Weekend. Memorial Day, a day that is focused on remembering the people who died while serving in the country’s armed forces, and Lexington’s Memorial Day Commemoration will be held at the old courthouse on Main Street, Monday morning, starting at 10:00.
What about leading into Monday? It seems music is in the air as I have three events to talk about. First off there is Friday’s in the Park, which will feature Southpaw on Friday night in neighboring Buena Vista. For more details, click here.
How about some live music at The Kiln? Lime KilnTheater will kick off its 2015 season on Friday night with Chatham County Line and Mandolin Orange. This is Lime Kiln’s second season after being closed for several years. We sure hope this year will be even more successful than last year. A beautiful place to see a concert!! This might be a good time to mention that JF Brown Real Estate will sponsoring their last concert of the season on August 27, featuring Love Canon. Go ahead and get your ticketsnow, we’d love to see you there.
Another beautiful site to listen to live music and relax is at Boxerwood Theater. Music in the Garden will be happening. Take your picnic and listen to some jazz. The music starts at 6:30 but go early to take a look at the beautiful gardens.
