Lexington, VA is definitely in the “calm before the storm” phase of week – and by storm, I’m speaking of all the visitors we will have in town for this weekend! Looks like it’s not only Parent’s Weekend at W&L but also Fall Reunion Weekend at VMI – so the town will be bustling! If your college days are behind you, maybe the 24th annual Harvest Fest is a better way to spend your afternoon. This Fest will take place at Rockbridge Vineyard on Saturday – looks like there will be grape stomping, music and all kinds of fun. The Pumpkin Bonanza is also scheduled for Saturday at the Swisher’s Farm in Fairfield – what a perfect opportunity to get your Halloween pumpkins as well as your gourds and corn stalks!
