Sitting and relaxing to live music might be your idea of easing into the weekend so why not bring your chair and enjoy Music in the Garden with live music at Boxerwood Gardens? This season kicks off on Friday with an a cappella group, The Fading Point, comprised of students from Southern Virginia University, located in neighboring Buena Vista, VA.

The VA Horse Center continues its busy schedule as the Bonnie Blue National Horse Show comes to town May 6-9 and is free to spectators!

Maybe taking a self-guided tour through the Lexington and Rockbridge County area to local art studios is more your style? The Annual Lexington & Rockbridge Studio Tour will take place this Saturday and Sunday. You can visit with the artists and view their works. Extend your stay and take your time because the tour is two days long.

How about supporting a great cause? Saturday the Relay for Life of Rockbridge County will be taking place. This is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The Carnival For a Cure will take place right outside of Lexington at the Rockbridge County High School.
