What a weekend we have coming up here in Lexington, Buena Vista and Rockbridge County, VA! I do believe we are becoming quite the mecca for live music. Before we get to all the music though, let’s talk about the Annual Sidewalk Sale that happens here in downtown Lexington, VA. All the shops put their wares out on tables in front of their stores, and the sidewalks become packed with shoppers taking advantage of all the great deals. The sale starts on Friday and continues through the day on Saturday.
Maybe after you shop all day on Friday you will want to head to Lime Kiln Theater, or to neighboring Buena Vista, VA for Friday’s in the Park which is held in the lovely Glen Maury Park. On Saturday, the annual Ice Cream Supper is happening outside of town at the Palmer Community Center. If you have not been before, then you need to put it on your list! Delicious food being cooked on site – hand cut fries, grilled corn, homemade ice cream of multiple flavors and live music to boot. It’s a great way to spend your afternoon!
More music is happening at the Greenwater Music Festival, which is taking place about 3 miles from town. Camping is available, as well as shuttles, as this is an all day event of live music, face painting, and vendor tents. Sounds like a super great time to me!
I would also like to mention that we here at JF Brown Real Estate are sponsoring Love Canon at Lime Kiln Theater on August 29. So looking forward to getting energized with this fine group of musicians. Make sure you wear your dancing shoes, I know I will have mine on!
