OK, I will admit it it’s a little hot and muggy today! But really, that should not keep you from visiting lovely downtown Lexington today for the Farmer’s Market, which is in full swing until 12:30 this afternoon. Take a breather in the shade during the day because you will want to save your energy for Retro Move Night at Hull’s Drive In, with Grease showing you know you will have a great time!
Lot’s going on over the actual weekend too, with music galore! Starting in downtown Lexington, it’s Gary Ruley & Mule Train at Friday’s Alive, that’s sure to be an energetic show! Live Friday’s at Devil’s Backbone is also happening, and they are located right outside of town in Rockbridge County.
Saturday hosts lots of activities around Lexington and Rockbridge County- there is Birding at Boxerwood, the Hops Harvest Festival at Devil’s Backbone, the Farmer’s Market at the VA Horse Center. Wow! Plus two music options for the night Lime Kiln Theater is featuring The Rigs with Grisman, Leslie, Hargreaves and Smith.
Also, and this is new to me, Sips & Sounds at Natural Bridge. Here, your admission gains you access to The Natural Bridge – if you have not been to see this wonder of nature, now is your chance!!
Now maybe you would rather enjoy your weekend on the water and just float away the weekend! Grab your kayak, canoe, or just plain old inner tube and check out this link for all your options that our lovely area has to offer.
