Happy New Year from downtown Lexington, VA where it is finally winter!! The New Year brought in some cold air and this week the temperature has gotten down to the single digits! The sun is shining today so that makes for a happier day the farmer’s market has moved indoors, next door to the Chamber of Commerce’s Office, and is still going strong on Wednesday mornings!
Just because it’s winter doesn’t mean Lexington, VA slows down on the activities because there are plenty of things to do this weekend indoors and out! Let’s start with the warmth of the Lenfest Center, located right in the heart of Lexington, VA on Nelson Street, just a few blocks from downtown on the Washington & Lee Campus. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, The Shenandoah Ballet will present The Nutcracker. What a perfect way to spend an evening watching a magical performance!!
On Saturday, The Fused Glass Play Date will be in full swing at Renegade Glass Studios. The Studio is located just a few miles from Downtown Lexington, VA with easy access and parking. There are two sessions each Saturday, but reservations are required, so call ahead.
Lime Kiln Theater is having their Annual Tree Burn on Saturday, from 12-3. Looks like a great time and a perfect way to get rid of your tree. There will be live music by Scuffletown, who will continue their night with music at Brew Ridge Taps, back here in downtown Lexington, VA!!
