Autumn in Lexington, VA
The trees are so beautiful this time of year in Lexington, VA! Reds, oranges, and yellows all around! The temperature is also warm enough to enjoy a walk or even a drive with the windows down. I sure hope it holds through the weekend as the Lexington, Buena Vista, Rockbridge area has lots in store for this weekend!!
Two of our local colleges have big plans this weekend: W&L will be hosting their Young Alumni Weekend, including a football game with rivalry Hampden Sydney. Neighboring SVU, located in Buena Vista, will be celebrating their Homecoming this weekend and they too will have a football game – so a shout out to the Generals and Knights for a big win!!
Some other activities this weekend include the Apple Butter Festival at Wades Mill, which is located about 15 minutes from Lexington, VA and Hull-o-ween will take place at the drive-in. The VA Horse Center is hosting the The Baroque Equestrian Games this weekend – which from their description on the website, looks like something to see!!!
